Western Kansas @ New Milford (Ch 2)

New Milford continues chapter 2 at home with a series against division rival Western Kansas.

 

Game 1:  Weaver @ Kershaw

Weaver pitches 2 innings and takes an early exit due to injury.  Mike Morin replaces him in the third and is greeted to a Peralta 2 out RBI single and Tulo 2 RBI double.  3-0 NM.

Blazers score 3 again in the 4th on a Carpenter RBI 3B, E1, and Peralta sac fly for a 6-0 NM advantage.

A Pollock 2 RBI single and Odor RBI single cut the Blazer lead to 6-3.

A Peralta RBI 3B in the 6th pad the Blazer lead, 7-3.

Top 9, Aaron Thompson can not handle a 4 run lead and lets 2 runners on to start the inning.  A warmed up KRod comes on and gets the Buffaloes in order to preserve the Blazer 7-3 win.

Game 2:  Kohler @ Iwakuma

Carpenter misses the cycle by a single with 2 HR and Raburn and Castro also go deep and Dietrich chips in with 4 RBI as Blazers win 19-6.

Game 3:  Nuno @ Anderson

Buffs up 3-2 in the 6th when the wheels fall off of the N train (who had 8 K) as McCann, Maldanado and Carpenter HR in the frame for a 7-3 lead.  A Choo HR in the 8th made it 8-3 and a Betts RBI single in the 8th followed by a McCann 2 RBI single lead the Blazers to an 11-3 win.

Game 4:  Kennedy @ Quintana

 

A Dietrich 2 run bomb in the second stake New Milford to an early 2 run lead.

Top 4, Odor goes yard to cut the NM lead to 2-1.

Dietrich lines a 2 RBI 3B in the 5th to put New Milford up 4-1.

Top 9, KRod on to close it and it’s 1-2-3 good night for Western Kansas and New Milford completes the sweep 4-1.

New Milford is 8-0 on the chapter and has won 12 straight.  We are a ridiculous 20-2 at home and 28-8 overall winning 24 of the last 28 games.

New Milford bats 372/422/682 for the series and score 41 runs. (10.25 runs a game)

New Milford give up 12 ER in 36 IP for a 3.00 ERA
