Blazers @ Flamingos (CH 1)

New Milford vs Las Vegas (CH 1)

New Milford starts a home and home series in Las Vegas.

Game 1:  Kershaw @ Haren

The Pink Birds have a team OPS vs lefties of .707.  Clayton Kershaw is the best lefty in the history of baseball.  That would explain the 10 K in 5 IP, but would not explain the 5 ER and WHIP of almost 2.

Butler and Lindor get to Kerhsaw in the first with back to back doubles, but Blazers it at 1 in the second on a Jason Castro HR.

Bottom 4, Wellington Castillo HR’s off of Kershaw for a 2-1 Vegas lead.

Bottom 5, the wheels fall off of the CY train, as Lindor with an RBI double and Castillo with a 2 RBI single push the lead to 5-1.

Vegas takes the opener 7-2.

WP Haren (2-0)

LP Kershaw (3-2)

Game 2:  Anderson @ Jungmann

A Peralta RBI groundout in the top of the first scores Carpenter for a 1-0 Blazer lead.

Then nothing really happens as Jungmann gives up the lone run through 6 and Anderson scatters 3 H and 3 BB through 6 scoreless.

Top 8, Dietrich PH’s a bases loaded walk, Castro grounds an RBI single, Carpenter hits a 2 RBI single, and Betts hits an RBI single, all with no outs.  Choo spoils the fun with a 6-4-3 DP scoring a run but Blazers go up 7-0 and win by that score.

WP Anderson (2-2)

LP Jungmann (0-1)

Game 3:  Locke @ Quintana

Series shifts to NM and Adonis Garcia gives the Pinkbirds a 1-0 lead in the second on  a long ball.  Betts ties it in the third on a RBI single scoring McCann.

Then a bunch of zeros happen.  Free baseball kind of zeros.

in the 14th, Peralta rounds third on a Lowrie single but was gunned at home.

Bottom 15, veteran Tulo had enough and with 2 outs and Peralta on second he cranks a pitch to left for a walk off  2 run HR.  Blazers win 3-1.

WP Albers (1-0)

LP Bellatti(0-3)

Game 4:  Iwakuma @ Porcello

With both bullpens spent from the marathon the night before, the starters need to go deep.

Flamingos put up a 5 spot in the third on some circus clown shit that I won’t bore you with.

A Choo RBI double in the third, Johnson HR in the 4th and Tulo single in the 5th cut the lead to 5-3.

Bottom 6, Robinson HR’s to cut the lead to 1 and Carpenter hits a 2 RBI double to give the Blazers the lead.  A lead they would not give up as Blazers win 9-5.

WP Iwakuma (2-1)

LP Porcello (0-3)

S O’Day (1)

Blazers take series 3 games to 1 and move into first place in the McGowan at 13-7.
